1 mars (Av Leonore Winkler) | Interview with Francesca Taufer |
| New year, new runners! Get a chance to meet Francesca Taufer from Italy, who moved to Uppsala last autumn. Welcome to the club! | 1. You have moved to Uppsala only a few months ago. For those who haven´t met you yet: who is Francesca Taufer?
Tough start :) I would say an addicted orienteer (that still gets lost every time) and coffee consumer coming from the Dolomites, in the north of Italy.
2. What brought you here?
Kanelbullar and fika mainly, but I also started a PhD last November at SLU. It is about the perception of smells from nature, so don't worry if you see me sniffing things, I'm normal (kind of). I'm really happy to be here in Uppsala and that I can join OK Linnè!
3. What is your favourite winter and summer activity?
I would say running for both season, even if in one is a little bit more pleasant, especially after experiencing the swedish -23°C.
4. If you were born in another country or universe, where would that be?
Australia. And Tasmania because they don't have all those nice and friendly deadly animals. But I've never considered another universe, maybe they have nice orienteering maps too...
5. What is the best holiday spot in Italy where everyone should travel to?
The Dolomites and Trentino of course. And I'd say also Tuscany (lots of good food). But if you're searching for cheap and good ice cream you can go everywhere.
Fem snabba:
A: Pizza or pasta (but I like the one with pineapple on it, don´t tell it to the italians!!) B: Nynäsnatt or Tisdagsbana C: Cat or Dog (NO discussion) D: O-ringen or Italian 5-days E: Mediterranean Sea or Alps
