New year, new runners. Welcome Csongor!
As a christmas gift OK Linné have received another new runners. Here is Csongor Horváth, även kallad "Tjonge". Don´t hesitate to greet him in person on a future training.

Who is Csongor Horváth?

I am a 22 years old Hungarian student. I studied pure math during my bachelor’s degree and now I started my MSc studies in computational science here in Uppsala. I am doing orienteering since I was born (or even before :) and I was lucky enough to compete at international level in four EYOC. However, I like nearly any kind of sports such as volleyball, football, skiing, and skating. But right now, I am training to improve my orienteering skills, so I don’t have much time for other fun sport activities.

As a hungarian runner, how did you get in contact with Uppsala and OK Linné?
First, I heard about Uppsala University from my high school math teacher. Additionally, Csaba Gösswein, who is running for the club for a longer time, was my orienteering mentor for a short period, when I was a youth athlete. Since I decided to study abroad during my Master studies, it seemed to be a good idea to combine a vivid student life with a nice training environment. Thus, to make the most of my time in Sweden I joined to OK Linné.

What is your favourite post-long run-food?
I don’t really have a favourite, but I would say I would prefer eating pasta after a long run. E.g., one of my favourite is mac and cheese with some salad.

If you were a O-map sign, which would it be?
I would say large path, because I like to complete my tasks as fast as I can. And I like to be useful for others when I have the chance. Additionally, it is also my favourite map sign and I feel like it’s often neglected by lots of runners.

It was taken in the start of the ISF World School Cross County Championship in 2016, when my school’s team represented Hungary on home soil after winning the national school championships. It was a fun event and I run one of my best cross-country races there even if it never been my forte.

What is Csongor Horváth up to in a parallell universe?
Well, good question. Maybe I would be beating Jakob Ingebrigtsen in the track, since 10 years ago at the same age I had the same result as he. Or maybe I would be pursuing a career in mathematics research. It always seemed interesting, but I give up on it years ago.

Which one is your dream leg on 10-mila?
My dream leg would be the first, because I always loved being a first runner in a relay and the challenges what comes with it. And starting in the mass starts at the 10-mila sounds unforgettable.

Five quickies
Meatballs or Gulash
10-mila or Jukola
Coffee or tea
